Leaflet Design Research (SB1)

Tri-Fold

This simple fold could work well for displaying information in three different stages/sections and collectively when the leaflet is unfolded. Considering the short time scale we have it would be a good option as it is simple and works well.

Another simple style, this would again be useful for creating a leaflet which showed the stages in a design process.

Folding Types - Map Fold Style

I looked for some inspiration for my leaflet and liked the use of cutting into the paper to open up different ways of presenting information. As the leaflet itself is supposed to show a process I want to illustrate this idea by layering the paper, demonstrating the multiple layers in the design process.

Leaflet above works as a booklet and folds out as a leaflet. I think this would be a really good format to experiment with especially as my process can be mapped out in a linear format.

The bold type makes the headings noticeable which works with the smaller body text for extra info.

This project has linked its leaflet design by using a constant pattern which changes hue each page. The fold makes the design interactive and more engaging. The angular fold really works and runs throughout the leaflet leaving a space for the text alongside the busy pattern.

The leaflet could also become interactive, I like this example of being able to tear away parts of the leaflet to create something new. I could add this into my design by getting users to tear away the different stages of the design process as they complete them, or rearrange them into a order they are comfortable with.
